A man has been stabbed in the face at a park in Leek.
The 37-year-old, who has not been named, was attacked by the tennis courts in Brough Park at 2115 BST on Sunday.
He received treatment at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire for a broken nose and a facial wound.
Police are describing the attack as unprovoked.
Detectives believe at least four people saw the stabbing.
Inspector Helen Jones said the attack happened while it was still light and is appealing for witnesses to come forward.
