Police say a team of 25 officers is hunting the killer of a Great Yarmouth man who was found dead in his house last week.
Stephen Colby, 47, was discovered at his home in Audley Street on Friday.
A post-mortem examination revealed that he had died of severe head injuries.
Norfolk Police believe Mr Colby was bludgeoned to death between 2200 BST on Thursday and 0300 BST on Friday.
Coach passengers sought
Police have asked anyone who was in the area at the estimated time of the murder to come forward.
Detective Chief Inspector Chris Hobley said he wants all the help he can get from potential witnesses.
He said: "It could have been anybody passing by, cutting through Audley Street to another part of the town."
"We believe there was a coach returning to the coach station in the early hours of the morning so we hope anybody who was on that coach may have some information that is of benefit to the inquiry."
Two people were arrested in connection with Mr Colby's death and interviewed by detectives, but they have been released on police bail.
