Jean Garrett
The 47-year-old had five grandchildren
The daughters of a 47-year-old woman who died after an incident at a house in Hull have spoken of their grief.

Jean Garrett had been babysitting for one of her five grandchildren when she was killed at the property in Ampleforth Grove on 9 April.

She had a son, Dean, and two daughters, Joanne and Lucy.

Her daughters told a news conference how much they loved their mother, saying: "We will never come to terms with what has happened.

"Our mum had so much love for her grandchildren.

"She will never see them grow up."

The daughters also thanked everyone for their flowers and support.

Kevin Batty, 38, of no fixed abode, has appeared in court charged with the murder of Mrs Garrett.
