Building site inquest opens
police at the scene
Forensic teams examined the body at the scene
A inquest has opened into the death of a man on a Nottingham city centre building site.

A construction worker discovered the body of Alistair Macpherson at the Millers site on Chapel Bar one week ago.

Workers on the site were sent home for the day while police carried out a forensic investigation into the incident.

Nottinghamshire coroner Dr Nigel Chapman said on Thursday that 23-year-old Mr McPherson of Trinstead Way, Bestwood Park, Nottingham, died from head and wrist injuries.

The inquest was adjourned for a later date for reports although Dr Chapman said the police investigation into the death had been completed.

It is thought Mr McPherson had been socialising with three women earlier on the night that he died.
