Beau Sejour has a bright outward future

There have been mixed reactions to the Beau Sejour leisure centre's new colour scheme.
Although the re-development of the leisure centre is ongoing, one aspect that has been completed is the painting of the front facade, which is now a very striking orange.
Customer reactions to the new colouring have been mixed.
Dale Jennings, a director of ORMS Designers and Architects, said the aim is to use colours instead of signs to help people understand the space.
Mr Jennings said careful consideration of Guernsey's natural colours went into the choice of orange for the facade.
He said he thinks it will complement the building and that if the theatre wall had not been painted, it would be unclear visually where the front entrance is.
The chief executive of the Recreation Committee, Dave Chilton, has said people should hold their judgements until the building is finished.
