Motorist killed in collision

A man has died in a collision between a car and a motorcycle.

The victim, who has not been named, suffered multiple injuries when the car he was driving collided with the motorcycle.

Both the Yamaha bike and the Austin Mini swerved off the A57 Sheffield Road at Todwick Grange in Rotherham and ended up in a field.

The motorist, from Dinnington, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A police spokesman said the accident happened at 2020 BST on Sunday.

The bike rider suffered series head injuries and is being treated at Rotherham District General Hospital.
