A Wiltshire dog owner has appealed for help in rescuing her Patterdale terrier stuck down a 15 foot hole for five days.
Sheila Ward, from Melksham, says she is now desperate and needs advice from anyone with useful experience.
Sniper became stuck in the tunnels of an old fox den on Whitley Farm on Saturday, but was only located on Tuesday.
Rescue efforts have so far failed because the land around the den keeps caving in.
Mrs Ward told the BBC: "We are devastated but we have to keep going. We can't leave him there.
"He is the heart of our family.
"He has never gone missing before. This is disastrous," she added.
