Police in Lancashire have arrested a man in connection with the gunpoint robbery of a taxi driver.
The man was also due to be questioned on Thursday at Burnley police station about a separate attempted robbery in the county.
Officers arrested the man after an attempt was made to rob Colne Service Station in Burnley Road, Colne, at about 0200 BST on Thursday.
He was detained after an extensive search of the area around the service station, involving the force helicopter.
He will also be questioned about a robbery in which a taxi driver was threatened with a handgun, after he had picked up a passenger in Colne on Tuesday night.
During the journey, to Nelson the passenger asked the driver pull over on a lane, off Reedyford Road.
The driver, who escaped uninjured, was forced to hand over his cash bag, which contained about £20.
