Children were due to stage a re-enactment of the Queen's coronation in Wells, Somerset on Monday, marking 50 years since the real thing.
Pupils, teachers and parents at Wells Central Junior School planned the event using details of processions, and costumes from historical footage.
Meanwhile in London, Louisa Harrington, aged nine, who has a heart condition will get her wish when she meets the Queen.
The Bristol-based charity Make A Wish arranged the meeting for the youngster from Clevedon.
A series of events are being held in the UK to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the coronation.
The Queen herself is marking the day with a service at Westminster Abbey and a children's tea party at Buckingham Palace.
