A teenage woman has withdrawn an allegation of serious sexual assault.
Police had said the 19-year-old was forced by a man into a lane in the centre of Weston-super-Mare, and sexually assaulted.
The incident was alleged to have taken place on Monday 14 April.
Police now confirm they are no longer investigating the incident.
A spokesperson said: "Officers are considering whether or not to take further action in regards to this matter."
