Residents evacuated as fire breaks out
Fourteen people had to be evacuated when fire broke out in a residential care home in Sheffield.

The fire took hold in a first floor bedroom of the home in Carterknowle Road in the early hours of Sunday morning.

One resident had to be rescued from the building by fire crews.

The remaining 11 residents had already been brought to safety by the two members of staff.

The cause of the fire is unknown and alternative accommodation is being arranged for the residents.
