Shots fired at charity workers
Hartcliffe
The volunteers were shot at in the Hartcliffe area of Bristol
Two men have been shot at while delivering a sofa in Bristol.

Richie Hogan and Kevin Hunt, from The Sofa Project, came under attack at a block of flats in Hartcliffe on Wednesday.

They were taking the sofa into Norwood House when items were reportedly thrown at their van, by young children.

Then, as they exited the building, they were shot at.

The police were called, and the sofa finally delivered under escort.

Mr Hunt said: "I felt nervous. I had to dash back to the van until the police turned up."

Sofa Project manager, Glenn Hammond said: "I am completely astonished that this has happened.

"Normally we are made to feel quite welcome but obviously not on this occasion."

The Sofa Project is a charity selling second-hand goods to people on low income.
