M25 body named
Police have said a body found near the M25 in Surrey was that of woman missing for over seven months.

The decomposed remains were discovered on Friday afternoon in a field in Fetcham, near Leatherhead.

Surrey Police said on Tuesday the body was that of Jane Mary McGregor, of Church Road, Leatherhead.

The 49-year-old went missing from her home on 17 October last year.

A Surrey Police spokesman said: "Police are still investigating the cause of death as a post mortem proved to be inconclusive.

"There is no evidence of foul play."

Police are now awaiting the results of a toxicology report, she said.

Officers said they were keeping an open mind about the cause of the death.

Forensic experts spent Friday night at the scene collecting evidence.

Police believe the body had been in the field for some time.
