Two critically injured in crash
Two people have been critically injured in a car crash in Cornwall.

A man and woman were taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Treliske after the accident on the A390 between Truro and Tresilian.

The crash happened just after 0200 BST on Sunday.

Three people were travelling in the Renault car when it crashed. Police say they believe no other vehicles were involved.

Two people had to be released from the car by fire crews from Truro and Camborne using crash rescue equipment.

Road closed

The road had to be closed for eight hours while police investigated the crash.

It was the second serious road accident in the county in 24 hours.

A man was taken to hospital on Saturday afternoon with serious injuries after a road accident between Bodmin and Wadebridge.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision on the A389.

The road was closed for several hours and police set up diversions in the area.
