'Arsonists' target docks

A fire that destroyed thousands of wooden pallets and badly damaged two adjacent buildings may have been started by arsonists, according to firefighters.

A Humberside Fire Brigade spokesman said one of the buildings on Hull's Albert Dock will be pulled down due to its dangerous condition.

The fire took five hours to put out on Sunday morning.

Safety inspections on headstones

Safety checks are to be carried out on headstones in cemeteries in North Lincolnshire.

Almost 40,000 memorials will be inspected at all seven council cemeteries.

The work will ensure no headstones or memorials pose a risk to visitors or staff.

'Wealthy' dating service launched

Wealthy people in east Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire are the targets of a new exclusive dating agency.

The "Rich Bitches Club" aims to bring people together who have paid a minimum of £10,000 to become a member.

Manager Nicky Von Der Blise says people applying to join their database are vetted to ensure they are not gold diggers.
