Family plants a rose for Rachel
Rachel Moran
A commemorative rose has been planted in Hull
The parents of Rachel Moran, who went missing in the early hours of New Year's Day, planted a commemorative rose for their daughter in the Rainbow Community Garden in Hull.

Rachel's body was found on the Orchard Park Estate at the end of January and at an open day at the garden on Saturday a special planting took place.

Garden Co-ordinator Jeanie Webster said she thought the rose would suit Rachel's personality.

She said: "I was looking through a rose catalogue and saw a flower called Tina Ballerina.

"Rachel was a tall, graceful girl, and I knew in the past she had done some ballet.

"So as soon as I saw the rose, I thought of Rachel."

Rachel disappeared as she walked to her home on the Orchard Park Estate. Her body was found on 26 January at a property in Nashcourt.

Michael Little, 22, of Nashcourt, Hull, has been charged with her murder.
