Safety campaign after fatal fire
Firefighters in Worcestershire are launching a safety campaign, following the death of a man at his home.

Andrew Green, 42, of Sheepscombe Drive, in Warndon, was found in his flat by firefighters in the early hours of Saturday, but was already dead.

His 18-year-old daughter Lisa was also rescued from the property and is still critically ill in Birmingham's Selly Oak Hospital.

Firefighters will be handing out leaflets and visiting residents in the area to talk about fire safety.

Three police officers were also taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation following the fire.

Mr Green's daughter was on a visit from Gloucestershire.

West Mercia Police say they are keeping an open mind about the cause of the fire.
