People in nightclub
A man collapsed during the early hours of the morning
A 39-year-old man died in a Sheffield nightclub during the early hours of Saturday.

The man, who has not been named, was in The Arches nightclub in Walker Street at 0445 BST when he collapsed.

He was taken to the city's Northern General Hospital but died shortly after arriving.

South Yorkshire Police say there were several hundreds of people in the club at the time and they are appealing for witnesses.

The man is described as being of average build, about 5ft 7ins tall, clean shaven with cropped hair.

He was wearing a light grey hooded fleece top, jeans and black boots.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen the man in the club to contact them.

A post-mortem examination will be held on Monday.
