Driver injured in hit-and-run
A bus driver had to be airlifted to hospital after he was hit by a car in a hit-and-run accident.

The incident occurred on the A34 near the Brocton crossroads at 1630 BST on Tuesday.

The single decker Arriva bus had broken down and the driver was hit as he stood on the carriageway.

He was airlifted to North Staffordshire Royal Infirmary where the extent of his injuries are not yet known.

The driver of the car failed to stop.

Staffordshire Police are appealing for witnesses.
