Police have issued an e-fit of a man wanted over the theft cash and jewellery from an elderly woman in Tetbury.
Officers want to identify the man who conned his way into a house on Hampton Street on Wednesday 9 April at 1430 BST.
He claimed to be a relative and said he had been sent to help with gardening work.
He kept the woman - in her 80s - talking for 10 minutes before she became suspicious and asked him to leave.
After he had gone, the pensioner discovered someone else had got into the house and searched other rooms.
Among the items stolen were £500 in cash, three ladies' watches and two rings.
The man who spoke to the woman is described as white, aged about 17, of very thin build, with short dark hair and a pale complexion.
He was wearing a grey top, black trousers and black shoes.
