Pig's head dumped at mosque
A pig's head and trotters have been dumped outside a mosque in Stoke-on-Trent.

The remains were found by Muslim worshippers arriving for prayer at the Chaplin Road mosque, in Normacot, on Thursday afternoon.

Stoke-on-Trent Police are investigating the incident and say it is a "particularly distasteful matter."

It is thought they were left there in order to cause offence because of the animal's religious meaning to Muslims.

Superintendent Mick Harrison said they were viewing the incident as an incitement to cause racial hatred.
