One of the busiest routes into the centre of hull was reduced to chaos on Friday afternoon following a road accident.
A vehicle crashed through the central reservation of the Clive Sullivan Way and emergency crews were called to the scene around lunchtime.
The A63 trunk route had been closed in both directions at the North Ferriby turn off because debris from the accident was strewn across both carriageways.
Firefighters were called to the accident to cut a woman free from a Ford Focus vehicle after the incident and she was treated for back injuries.
The highways Agency was called to remove a lamp post which had collapsed onto the road.
