Man stabbed during burglary
A man has undergone emergency surgery after being stabbed during a robbery at a house in Nottingham.

The 22-year-old was asleep when three armed men entered his bedroom in Radford at about 0450 BST on Wednesday.

The thieves were wielding kitchen knives when they woke the man and a 26-year-old woman.

They demanded cash and when the couple refused to co-operate, the man was stabbed twice in the leg and once in the shoulder.

Nottinghamshire Police say he lost a significant amount of blood, and had to undergo surgery at the Queen's Medical Centre in the city.

The robbers are described as black, all small framed, and wearing tea towels on their lower faces.

They escaped with cash, jewellery and electrical equipment.
