Question Time from the Middle East
The programme will examine the situation in Iraq
In a rare visit outside the UK in April, Question Time was broadcast from the United Arab Emirates, offering an opportunity for people in the Middle East to have their say about the consequences of war in Iraq.
The special edition from Abu Dhabi, on 24 April at 22:40 BST on BBC One, allowed the people of the country to put their questions to a panel about the present situation in Iraq. Programme editor Nick Pisani said: "The edition from Abu Dhabi discusses the consequences of War in Iraq, its effect on the region, and on how and whether relations between America, Britain and Middle Eastern countries have been affected." The panel included:
"The programme provides a unique opportunity for people from all backgrounds living in the United Arab Emirates to air their views and have their say on the biggest issue facing the world today", Mr Pisani said. The programme will also be shown internationally, on BBC World television.
