BBC cameras rolled for seven hours of pageantry
After the jubilee jamboree last June, this year The Queen celebrates the 50th anniversary of her coronation.

Westminster was at the focus of the ceremony and BBC Parliament will be marking the occasion with a special day of programming.

The BBC rolled out its biggest outside broadcast to date when it covered the proceedings on 2 June 1953.

Over 20 million people watched the coverage, many people crowding round their neighbour's television sets.

Sylvia Peters introduced the BBC's seven hour marathon 50 years ago and BBC Parliament will re-show the footage at 1010 BST on Monday 2 June to begin the commemorative Coronation Day.

You can see every stage of the auspicious event, with Richard Dimbleby's original commentary.

The Coronation service begins at 1120 BST, in readiness for the actual crowning just over an hour later.

BBC Parliament's tribute ends with the Jubilee Speech The Queen made to Westminster Hall in April last year, showing at 1850 BST.
