About 400 anti-war protestors demonstrated outside the BBC building in Manchester on Saturday.
They were complaining about the conflict in Iraq and perceived media bias in the way it has been reported.
Protestors chanted slogans calling for more coverage of Iraqi civilian deaths outside the BBC building in Oxford Road.
The rally, which brought traffic to a halt, lasted for about one-and-a-half hours before it peacefully dispersed.
There were between 400 and 500 demonstrators in Liverpool while other protests were held in places such as Preston and Lancaster.
Meanwhile, the Bishop of Blackburn, the Right Reverend Alan Chesters - a vocal opponent of the war - said UK troops should be supported.
