Police guard murder suspect in hospital
Police guard the hotel in Blackpool
Ms Jarvis and her sons were stabbed to death in the hotel
A 42-year-old man was under police guard in hospital on Sunday while detectives waited to interview him about the murder of a mother and her two sons.

The bodies of 36-year-old Patricia Jarvis and her boys John, 11, and eight-year-old Stuart were found at the Winslow Hotel in Blackpool on Thursday.

A post mortem examination revealed they had all been stabbed.

The man, who is believed to be the father of the boys, was admitted to Blackpool's Victoria Hospital suffering from serious injuries.

His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Officers have described the attack on Ms Jarvis and her sons as "ferocious".

The family, who are South African, had only been in Blackpool for a few months and were the owners of the guest house, in Hull Road.
