Asylum seeker stabbed in park
West Midlands Police are searching for the killer of a teenage asylum seeker who died after he was stabbed in a Birmingham park.

The 19-year-old, from Kosovo, was walking with two friends in Cannon Hill Park, Edgbaston, when a man and a woman approached him just before 1500 GMT on Thursday.

An argument broke out and the teenager was stabbed once in the chest.

He was taken to Birmingham's Selly Oak Hospital but died later.

Witness appeal

Witnesses have described seeing a man running away from the scene, possibly carrying a weapon.

The man is described as white, 5 ft 9 in tall, of stocky build with dark hair and was wearing black trousers and a black top.

The woman is described as white, with long blonde straight hair, and was wearing a white top.

A police spokesman said: "There would have been a number of people in the area at the time and we are appealing for anyone with any information about this incident to come forward."
