EastEnders: Your views
Lucy Benjamin and Steve McFadden
More than one ending was filmed
EastEnders fans finally find out what happened to Lisa in Portugal after a cliffhanger episode earlier this week.

Tuesday's show ended with Lisa and daughter Louise backing on to the edge of a cliff as Phil came towards them after a frantic car chase.

And all is revealed in Thursday's dramatic episode.

So what do you think?

The housewives must have loved it. Rubbish.
Dave, UK

It was extremely frustrating to watch. There was such a build-up to this story, the ending was very bad. I watched it at a friend's house and we were both in agreement that it was one of the worst episodes we have ever seen. In work this morning people were also in agreement that it was not worth waiting for and very disappointing. I also find Phil one of the most annoying characters on television and cannot understand how women find him attractive. I find that unbelievable.
Fiona, Ireland

Glad to see the ending was left open, I really thought Lisa was going off the cliff at the end of Tuesday. Not sure about the storyline, it was acted fantastically but I would have really liked Lisa to get away with the baby and give us mums a positive EastEnders press for once. Oh well, if she hasn't topped herself after Phil's cruel torture perhaps she'll return to Walford stronger than ever for her daughter!
Lucy Borg, UK

Sorry but the Portugal story didn't live up to expectations nor to all the hype.
Lisa, Wales

Fantastic! The episode kept me gripped to my seat. It's good that they have kept the door open for Lucy - please bring her back. It would be good to see the alternative endings at some point!?!
Daniel Cheesman, West Sussex

I thought last night's episode was boring and drawn out
Paul, Northern Ireland
I thought the acting wasn't bad for the actors' abilities, but do the directors of EastEnders not know what a good close-up should look like? I can see what they were trying to get across, but it was done so poorly. Lose the supposed stylish directing, 'cause you only get shown up when you can't pull it off, and it distracts the audience (maybe the real reason behind the complaints?)

Needless to say I still enjoyed it, the script worked, and I was wondering how long it would be till Phil used the ace up his sleeve?
John Carpenter, England

The acting was really good - they both did a great job.
Erin James, England

I thought last night's episode was boring and drawn out. Please! Who cries so much recalling a dream!!!
Sean Paul, Northern Ireland

I thought it was a great couple of episodes and the scenery was a welcome break from the miserable greyness of Albert Square. I am glad to see the back of Lisa as I find her miserable, snivelling, very, very irritating. While we are on the subject, could they also please get rid of Vicky Fowler before I throw a brick at my TV screen?
Neill, UK

The episode in Portugal was awful, poorly acted and unrealistic
Lin, UK
What a stupid storyline, why didn't you make her fall over the cliff and have him charged with murder so that we would never have to see that bully again? Then Peggy could die without her son to look after her and I could go back to watching EastEnders again . I hate him more than anyone else on the telly.
Anon, UK

The item about Lisa and Phil was the biggest load of rubbish ever. First time I ever swiched EastEnders off. No more please.
Pamela Fisher, England

I cannot believe Lisa just gave her baby away like that. I thought that she was going to jump off the cliff but didn't. The episode was fab.
Tracey Rosborough, Corby

Very disappointed at how it came out. Thought it could have been much better.
Danielle, United Kingdom

I think that building the story up to such a cliffhanger and then not having Lisa at least fall accidentally off the cliff was disappointing. It was not the ending I was expecting - I thought that Lisa might have calmed down and then slipped accidentally. The build-up was good but the ending was boring and I expected better from Eastenders.

Personally I was more excited by the Corrie climax. It was definitely not as good as the "who shot Phil?" storyline and although the cliffhanger made me want to watch, the ending was very disappointing!!!
Belle, UK

I like you Lisa - I hope you come back to EastEnders.
Sadia Hussain, England

Dave: as a housewife (some of the time!) may I say your comment offended me?! The episode in Portugal was awful, poorly acted and unrealistic. Haven't Eastenders learnt that they should stay in Walford - travel always ends in tears!!
Lin, UK

I think that EastEnders is the best TV show around - I have been a big fan of the show now since I was little. I think Spencer is lovely and I would go out with him any day, you name it.
Leanne Giles, England

Absolutely extraordinary. The acting was impeccable, from both Lucy Benjamin and Steve McFadden. I'm not usually one to get so involved in a soap storyline, but Benjamin's portrayal of Lisa's sheer desperation was impossible to ignore. I agree with other contributors that some of the "stylish" direction - especially the fractured close-ups - was distracting, but by and large the filming was exceptional, especially the amazing cliff-top pan-shots. Spectacular stuff, and by and large far beyond my expectations.
Andyroo, London, UK

I thought the end of the storyline was stupid. I want Phil to get his. Please - he is aways coming out on top. He hurts too many people. Who is next - Lou?!
Rachael Glenn, United States

What a load of rubbish!
Ann, England

Absolutely rubbish - I think EastEnders has lost the plot. A cheap ratings ploy. Corrie beats it by miles
Andrew, UK
