Bail extended over toddler death
Diana, Princess of Wales Children's Hospital
Christian Blewitt died in hospital
A couple who were arrested last year on suspicion of murdering a three-year-old boy, have had their bail extended by police.

Christian Blewitt was in the care of Sandwell Social Services when he was admitted to Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley on 8 December.

He died four days later at the Diana, Princess of Wales Children's Hospital in Birmingham.

A couple from Bromsgrove were arrested and questioned in connection with Christian's murder.

The pair had been due to answer police bail at Redditch Police Office on Friday but do not have to return until 1 August.

A police spokesman said: "Inquiries into the death are still continuing and detectives are waiting the results of toxicology, histology and other tests which are being carried out by a number of medical experts across the country."
