No one has been charged with the murder of Mrs Lamplugh's daughter
The mother of murdered estate agent Suzy Lamplugh is in hospital after suffering a stroke on Monday night.

A spokeswoman for the Suzy Lamplugh Trust said Diana Lamplugh, 67, from East Sheen, south-west London, underwent a successful operation on Wednesday night and is recovering in hospital.

Mrs Lamplugh has been a personal safety campaigner since the disappearance of her daughter in July 1986.

Miss Lamplugh's body has never been found but she was declared dead in 1994.

'Dedication and charisma'

She vanished after meeting a client called Mr Kipper who she was due to show round a property in Fulham, south west London.

No one has been charged with her murder.

Mrs Lamplugh and her husband Paul set up the Suzy Lamplugh Trust to help people lead safer lives.

It now has 16 staff and a network of more than 700 personal safety trainers and tutors throughout the UK.

Manager of the trust Ann Elledge said, "The thoughts of everyone at the trust are with Diana.

"Her amazing dedication and charisma has put personal safety firmly to the forefront of public awareness."
