Man dies from stab wounds
A murder inquiry is under way after a man was found on the street in Dudley with stab wounds to the head.

The victim, who is in his 30s and believed to be from the town, was discovered in Duncan Edwards Close on Wednesday night.

The man, who had also been stabbed in the chest, died later in Russells Hall Hospital.

Police said they know who the man is, but they cannot name him until his relatives have been informed.

Witness appeal

Officers believe the man had been drinking before he was attacked.

The area has been cordoned off and house-to-house inquiries are being carried out.

A post-mortem examination was due to be carried out on Thursday afternoon.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
