A man has been charged with assault after a man was found lying with serious stab wounds near the M27 in Hampshire.
The 33-year-old victim was found by a passer-by in Stoneham Way on Wednesday at about 0330 GMT with stab wounds to the groin.
The man, from Southampton, was taken to Southampton General Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
Mark Wheatcroft, 35, of Angerstein Road, North End, Portsmouth, was later arrested and charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm.
He is due to appear before Southampton magistrates on Thursday.
A 19-year-old woman also arrested on Wednesday has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
