Police hunt armed robber
Police siren
The robber may have an injured hand
An armed robber threatened two shop staff in Newcastle-under-Lyme with what is thought to be a gun before escaping with cash.

The incident happened just before 2200 GMT on Wednesday at the Alldays store in Wolstanton.

The man's hand was shut in the till by one of the workers, but he managed to escape with a small amount of money.

The two staff were shaken but unhurt.

The man is described as being slim, in his early 20s, 5 ft 10 ins, with a prominent nose.

He was wearing a cream hooded top, a blue bomber jacket and dark trousers.

He may also have an injury to his left hand.
