Elderly woman held hostage
Beat officers
Police have appealed for public help
Police in Herefordshire are searching for two robbers who held an elderly woman hostage in her own kitchen before ransacking her house.

The men forced their way into the house in the village of Canon Pyon after the woman had been outside emptying a bin.

They cornered her in the kitchen and demanded money from her.

Police say the incident happened on the afternoon of 5 February.

The men, one described as having noticeably bad teeth and the other with a thick voice and possibly a lisp, left after they found a bag full of cash.

Police in Herefordshire say they want to talk to anyone who may have seen the men or any suspicious vehicles in the area at the time.
