Woman in court on father murder charge

A 42-year-old woman has appeared in court charged with the murder of her elderly father.

Wendy Sutton is accused of murdering 71-year-old Roy Sutton on 10 February following a traffic incident in the village of Winteringham, near Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire.

Miss Sutton, of Marsh Lane, Winteringham, appeared before Scunthorpe magistrates, wearing a blue sweatshirt with a cream collar.

She spoke only to confirm her name, date of birth and address.

Miss Sutton was remanded in custody and will appear before Hull Crown Court on 20 February.
