Armed officers remain at airport
The interior of Jersey Airport
Armed officers will remain at the airport
Senior police officers in Jersey say armed officers will continue to patrol the island's airport for the foreseeable future.

Security at the airport was stepped up after intelligence information put airports across the country on alert.

Although most of the concern centred around Heathrow, other airports were told to review security measures.

Jersey's armed police squad was diverted to the site in response.

Police said there was no information that any risk had decreased and officers with guns will stay at Jersey's airport until the situation has eased.
