Men shot after getting out of car
Azhar Mohammed
Azhar: "I heard shots and started running"
A teenager has told how he and his friend were shot at by masked men who stole their car in Greater Manchester.

Azhar Mohammed and Harminder Singh were attacked as they sat in their Fiat Punto in Stamford Road, Old Trafford.

The masked raiders first demanded they hand over their phone and then their vehicle.

Azhar was shot in the leg and Harminder in the foot as they ran towards the junction with Norton Street at about 2240 GMT on Wednesday.

Harminder Singh
Harminder: "I'm scared to go out and walk to the shop"

They both received hospital treatment and are extremely distressed.

Azhar, 18, said: "They just really came to take the car and rob us.

"But they thought we were getting brave or something so they shot off loads of rounds, about seven or eight shots.

"I could hear them hitting off cars so I started running and one got me in the leg.

His 19-year-old friend Harminder said: "I can't even go out of my house because it's so stressful.

"I feel scared to go out and walk to the shop."

Greater Manchester Police said it was appealing for witnesses to come forward.
