Leicestershire gets on board
Dice
Monopoly is a popular game across the world
Leicestershire is to get its own version of Monopoly.

The makers of the board game are asking people in the county for help deciding which landmarks to include on the board.

They will then select 33 Leicestershire favourites - including places like the Walkers Stadium, Bradgate Park and Conkers - to feature on the customised board.

The game's manufacturers - Winning Moves - say the polling will be done via email and phone suggestions.

Castle 'favourite'

People will also be asked to decide which location makes it onto the coveted "Mayfair" square - the board's most expensive property.

The makers say Belvoir Castle is an early favourite for the position.

A Nottingham version of Monopoly, which was released about two years ago, has already proved very successful.

The Leicestershire version is expected to be in the shops in time for Christmas.
