Bus ticket clue to lake death
Derwent Water
The man's body was recovered from Derwent Water
A bus ticket may hold the clue to the identity of a man whose body was recovered from a Cumbrian lake.

The man, thought to be in his 20s, was recovered from Derwent Water at Crow Park in Keswick early on Wednesday.

A spokesman for Cumbria Police said a member of the public made the discovery while out walking.

He said identification was difficult as the man had been in the water for some time.

He added: "The body has been in the water for quite some time and it will be some time before a positive identification can be made.

"He was carrying a ticket for the 555 bus that goes from Lancashire to Keswick.

"He had a small amount of cash and a small silver torch."

He said at this stage police were not treating the death as suspicious.
