Bidding slow for Blues memorabilia
A collection of Ipswich Town memorabilia has failed to fetch its expected price at auction.

The mementoes and programmes were expected to fetch up to £6,000 in the specialist auction at Sotheby's in London.

The items were released by John Eastwood who co-wrote the official history of Ipswich Town.

He said he had found the auction a bit disappointing.

Man arrested over post office robberies

Detectives investigating four robberies at post offices in Suffolk have arrested a man in connection with their inquiries.

A 22-year-old man from London was arrested on Tuesday morning at an address in Canning Town, London.

The arrest was in connection with two robberies at the Little Stonham Post Office on 5 and 30 November, a robbery at Pakenham Post Office on 1 November and a robbery at Ingham Post Office on 3 February.

Fatal road accident on A14

A Suffolk man died on the A14 on Sunday after his van struck an articulated lorry in a lay-by.

The crash took place on the Cambridgeshire-Suffolk border at Snailwell Hill near Newmarket.

The man - who has not yet been named by police - was pronounced dead at the scene.

No one else was injured.

Opinions sought on 'danger spot'

People living near a notorious Suffolk accident blackspot are being asked for their views on new road plans.

Two possible new routes round Haughley Bends on the A14 are being shown to villagers.

The Highways Agency is carrying out a consultation on the new routes among people living in the area.

Their views will be taken into account when a final decision is made.
