North Korea
The United Nations nuclear watchdog declared that North Korea is in breach of UN safeguards, and has handed the issue over to the Security Council.

The Council has quite a lot on its plate already - with a meeting planned for Friday to discuss the latest report from the weapons inspectors on Iraq, so how will it deal with another major weapons problem, and from a state included in George Bush's "axis of evil'?

Tony Blair was back in Northern Ireland trying to get the Assembly going again. Anti-agreement politicians seem to be getting stronger all the time - would power-sharing still be possible by the time the institutions are running again?

Would this country be a better place if we all volunteered more? Or is leaving things to the voluntary sector just a way for politicians to dodge their responsibilities?
