Man in court over anti-terror charges
Edinburgh Sheriff Court
The man appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court
An Algerian man has appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court charged with offences under anti-terrorism laws.

Fouad Lasnami, 28, was arrested in the Scottish capital last week.

He is accused of contravening a section of the Terrorism Act 2000 dealing with possession of items in suspicious circumstances.

He made no plea or declaration, was committed for trial and remanded in custody.

Mr Lasnami was one of six men held on 6 February under the Terrorism Act.

Two men apprehended in London, and another from Manchester, have been released.

Immigration officials are still interviewing two more, who were detained in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
