Gun fired during store raid
Police officers are appealing for information
A gun has been fired during an armed robbery in Coventry.
Three men raided the Matalan discount retail store on Wheeler Road, Stoke, at about 2015 GMT on Tuesday. Staff had just begun locking up the store when the robbers forced the rear exit and threatened them with guns. One of the weapons was then fired, although nobody was injured. The men, who were all wearing balaclavas, made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Anyone with any information is asked to contact detectives at Chase Avenue Police Station.
