Five arrested over schoolgirl assault
Police have bailed two teenagers over the attack
Police have arrested five people following an attack on a schoolgirl which left her in hospital for four days.
The 15-year-old girl from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, suffered severe facial bruising after being assualted twice within the space of a few minutes. The teenager was attacked during an arguement at a house at Eastbank Road, Sheffield at approximately 2130 GMT on 5 February. The injured girl left the house but was set upon moments later in the street. Two bailed The schoolgirl spent four days recovering in Sheffield Children's Hospital and was discharged over the weekend. She has not yet returned to school. Police arrested three girls and two boys following the attacks. Two girls aged 17 and 19 have been bailed pending further inquiries while the other three teenagers have been released without charge. Police have appealed to motorists in the area who may have seen the attacks to contact them. |
