Nightclub closes after court threat
Nightclub revellers
The nightclub will now be turned into a restaurant
A nightclub in the grounds of Lord Bath's Longleat estate has been closed following a spate of serious crimes.

Mayfield Concessions, the managers of Oscars have relinquished their lease and licence on the Wiltshire club, after police threatened to take the case to court.

Since 1999 there have been numerous crimes at the premises, including firearms and drugs offences.

Last year 11 incidents were reported to police with a mass brawl involving 50 clubbers, prominent among them.

The Longleat estate will now take over the property and plans to turn it into a restaurant.
