Man charged with nanny's murder

Police in County Antrim have charged a man with the murder of a woman whose body was found at a house near Ballymena.

Mother of three Katrina Baird, 40, was found in the courtyard of a country house in Buckna Road, Broughshane, shortly before midday on Monday.

The mother of three, who worked for the homeowner as a nanny and housekeeper, had been shot in the head.

A 46-year-old man is due to appear before Ballymena Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
