Death crash paramedic pleads not guilty
Wrecked car and ambulance
Both vehicles were written off in the fatal accident
A paramedic has pleaded not guilty to killing a woman motorist in a crash while he was on a 999 call.

Ian Fitzgerald, 28, appeared at Reading Crown Court accused of causing the death of Rosemary Fenney by dangerous driving.

The 40-year-old motorist, from Paddock Road in Newbury, Berkshire, suffered multiple injuries and died after her car was crushed on 6 October.

Both vehicles were written off in the collision at the junction of London Road and Hambridge Lane in Newbury.

Mr Fitzgerald, from Trowbridge in Wiltshire, was driving a Mercedes Sprinter ambulance for the Royal Berkshire Ambulance Service when it collided with Ms Fenney's Peugeot 206.

A trial, expected to last up to seven days, is due to open on 9 June, with a further directions hearing on 10 April.
