Breakfast with the stars
Breakfast's interviews with Goldie Hawn, Susan Sarandon, Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock
Natasha met Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant
This morning (Thursday Jan 30) Breakfast brought you a feast of Hollywood stars, in not one but two special interviews with our presenters, Dermot Murnaghan and Natasha Kaplinsky.

  • Dermot got the chance to meet Goldie Hawn and Susan Sarandon, who star in the new comedy The Banger Sisters.

Goldie Hawn - fun loving character

It's a feel good movie about two former rock groupies who meet up 16 years later to find that life isn't quite what it used to be.

Goldie says her character is pretty desperate and trapped in the past.

The movie is about not repressing the truth and being who you are - "she's a fun loving character and wonderful to play".

  • And Natasha talked to Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock, whose new film Two Weeks' Notice is out soon.

Sandra Bullock - In love we're lost

Hugh told Natasha that he had always wanted to work with Sandra but they hadn't been able to find the right thing, scripts would come along but not be right for one or the other.

Sandra said that Hugh was nothing like his character in Two Weeks Notice who plays a fun loving playboy. The two insist that they got along ok despite reports in the papers to the contrary.

Sandra also said that she was going to take a year off "I think it's time for me to take some time and think about life a little bit and go and try other things".
