Mr Fox collapsed while repairing the car
A woman who revived her car mechanic after he suffered a heart attack, is to be recognised for bravery.

Lisa Hawkins, from Derbyshire, helped resuscitate the man who had been carrying out repairs on her car.

David Fox, 47, was working on Miss Hawkins' car in Swadlincote last September when he collapsed.

She called an ambulance, and applied heart massage for eight minutes until paramedics arrived.

Mr Fox was then taken to hospital where he underwent a double by-pass operation and had a pace-maker fitted.

The Royal Humane Society will recognise Miss Hawkins for her actions and present her with a citation.

She was nominated by both Mr Fox and a paramedic who arrived at the scene.
